The French denim expert, Maurice Ohayon has been working with prestigious brands such as Ungaro, Vanessa Bruno, or Stella McCartney. Quite nostalgic of the precision and rigor of the sartorial spirit, he wants to keep it up-to-date by underlining the know-how, through lines made in Italy. With this vision in mind, he founded Notify in 2003: the brand quickly grows famous in Europe and abroad and is distributed in renowned retailers such as Kabuki and Le Bon Marché in Paris, Jeffrey’s and Bergdorf Goodman in New York and Luisia via Roma in Florence.
Notify distinguishes itself by continuous researches for innovation and enhancement through the fabric and the cut: resistance tests to rubbing and wear and tear are lead with an almost scientifical rigor.
This know-how is noticeable in the Spring/Summer 2014 collection offering timeless and sturdy staples such as the raw selvedge version of the Nobilis cut. It contrasts with a more summery version crafted in a lightweight mix of cotton and linen, with carefully seamed selvedge finishes.
